Citation Tools: Be Careful!

Citation tools such as the ones listed on this page can be helpful if you are confused about formating citations, or if you have many citations to include in one paper.

However, they are not perfect, and can often make mistakes when creating your citations.  You must always double check the citations using one of the style manuals or online guides.

You should only use these tools if you instructor says it is acceptable for your class.

Citation Management Software

Here are two citation management software programs that can help you automatically format your citations.  Always double check the citations they create, and always ask your instructor if it is acceptable to use citation tools for your class.
